Mapul8tor is a remake of the original Mapulator form Jonathan Kops aka bentosan.
Overview
1. Main Control – Control Up to 8 Curves
This can control up to 8 curves.
2. Snap Grid & Copy/Paste Curves
Activate the grid to snap breakpoints and copy/paste a curve across devices.
3. Drawing & Editing Curves
You can draw up to eight individual curves:
- Click on a curve to create a breakpoint
- Shift + Click on a breakpoint to delete it
- Click & Hold to move a breakpoint
- Alt + Mouse Move on a line to draw a curve
4. Select Curve & Map Parameters
Choose one of the eight curves to edit, then use the Map Button to assign it to a parameter in Ableton Live (or MIDI CC in the MIDI version).
5., Adjust Curve Output Scaling
Control how much effect the curve has—whether subtle or more pronounced.
6. Additional Settings: Locking & Modulation Control
- Lock the parameter to the device
- Or unlock to allow it to be controlled by external parameters
- Enable or disable real-time modulation of the parameter
Quick Start
Load Mapul8tor
Drag Mapul8tor into an Ableton Live track.
Assign the Main Control
Use the Main Rotary Control to map up to 8 different Ableton Live parameters.
Draw Custom Curves
- Click to add breakpoints
- Shift + Click to remove breakpoints
- Click & Drag to move breakpoints
- Alt + Mouse Move to bend the line into smooth curves
Snap & Copy/Paste
- Use Grid Snap for precision
- Copy/Paste curves between devices for quick workflow
Map Parameters
With the Map Buttons, link your curve to Ableton Live device parameters.
Fine-Tune with Advanced Controls
- Adjust curve output scaling
- Lock or unlock parameter behavior
- Enable/disable modulation per parameter
