Midi Note RePitcher - Overview
  1. Presets: here you can store up to 128 Presets to switch fast from one mapping to another.
  2. In / Out Monitor: this is a simple IN/OUT Monitor to see which Midi Notes you are playing.
  3. Name: In this field you can give every Preset an individual Name
  4. on the left side you see all 128 incoming Midi Notes
  5. on the right side you see the Notes which will be output
  6. Here you can tune the Output Midi Note
  7. this is a shortcut to filter this note. If the incoming Midi Note is filtered, nothing will be played at the output
  8. This is a shortcut to bypass the incoming note. In this case, the same note will be played as it is on the input
  9. Init: here you can initialize the Preset
  10. realtime Edit: When realtime Edit is activated you can tune notes by playing on a Midi Keyboard
  11. Copy/Paste: you can copy a Preset and paste it to another Preset. This is also possible to other Devices insde your Ableton Live Project.

Presets

Here you can store and recall up to 128 individual Midi Presets.

In/Out Monitor

in this field the incoming and outgoing Note will be displayed.
the first Value is the Notepitch as an Integer Value, the 2nd is the Note Name and the 3rd is the Velocity.

Name

You can name each preset, making it easy to see which MIDI tuning has which function.

In / Out Notes

in the middle of the Device you see two columns on the left for the Input Notes and two columns on the right for the outgoing Notes.

The notes are displayed as numbers along with the name of the MIDI note.

Select a MIDI Note

with the left border you can select a MIDI Note to edit.

Edit the Notes in the highlighted field.

Filter / Bypass

With the X on the right site of the selection border you can filter out

Init Preset

To initialize the whole Preset you have two options.

  • Bypass: This will play all incoming MIDI notes exactly as they are at the input.
  • Filter: This will filter all incoming MIDI Notes.

Realtime Edit

Here you can activate the realtime mapping. Once activated you are able to map Notes with your Keyboard. Press the one to select the incoming note and hold it. the press the next Key to set your destination and the Note is assigned.
If the Button on the left is activated, the “edit” button will be turned of when a note is mapped. It’s recomented to turn it off while performing.

  1. Press & Hold the first Key to Select the Input Note
  2. Press the 2nd Key to assign the Outgoing MIDI Note

Copy / Paste Presets

You can copy a preset to another preset, and it’s also possible to copy presets across devices within a live project.

Import / Export everything

And it’s possible to export and import all your Midi Mappings to an JSON file. To share your Midi Settings.
